I have announced and elucidated this to so many ppl on chat today tht i might as well copy paste m conversations from gtalk. lol
I installed Linux from scratch on a test machine in the server room(working in the server room surrounded by tens of machines and blinking switches was fun) I set up networking on it and connected to it from my desk. Built my device driver code and completed my first assignment. Made new friends, am getting comfortable at the workplace. There is hope that I will be fine.
Hope I learn a lot of tech. I just have to remember not to become a tech geek coz i m here only to learn technology and then apply it to my own businesses later. I have to remember not to compare myself to others in the office. When A says "I wanna work in Virtualization someday, coz its super cool", I need not think "I will never think tht way, maybe I am in the wrong job"... Just remember ur purpose on this job is different. And so keep updated on other stuff like financial news, startup ideas (startup duniya, yourstory... like discussed in last post), gymming, tennis, join the office guys in football, badminton. Okay read PCI drivers now.... peace.

Thoughts on career
Options:
1. If I stayed on in the present job, I will get experience (training) in technology. Tech is a big enabler, could be handy in the future (esp if i decide to go into startups early). (However in fin job also i could spend time learning tech on my own....or can i?)
The tech job itself wont add much to an MBA application nor do I ever wanna start a company in tech.
2. Finance: Good for safe well paying job. (Chk abt wht the future of ppl has been) R seems to think it is not good for foreign MBA as it is a backoffice job (he makes sense also) wht u could do is do fin for 2 yrs then get startup exp and then MBA
3. Immediately join a fresh company (but in what position? - look up startup on startupduniya and yourstory to answer this question)
just talked to atul. he thinks i should stay on in the present job. fin also will start seeming burdensome after a while is what he says. he says i am too frust to make a good decision righ now and must focus on relaxing and bringing clarity so should not do anything immediately.
Decision: Focus on this job. Applications pending in DB, JPMC, ZS... let them resullt out and see... don grapple after more. Enjoy being with family(bhai bhabhi nephew) and friends (bala, amrit, abhiram, ashwini)... focus on the small good things (don have to wear formals, small closely knit office)
